United Way of Forsyth County is uniquely dependent on public confidence and transacts its business in conformance with applicable laws and regulations and in conformity with the highest ethical standards. The following is to guide employees in their actions and relationships, to avoid not only actual wrongdoing, but also the appearance of having their judgment or performance of duties compromised

Disclosure of Information

Internal company, affiliated agency and personnel information is considered to be privileged and confidential; therefore, employees will adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Caution and discretion are required in order to safeguard the confidential nature concerning our transactions with present and prospective agencies and contributors, other institutions and suppliers. Such information should only be shared with those who have a legitimate business need to know.
  • Confidential information obtained as a result of comments made within United Way shall not be used for the purpose of private interests.
  • United Way respects the right of employees to privacy in matters that have no relation to their employment. Matters of a personal nature should be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
